I began my creative life as an actress. From a very young age I was driven to explore character and emotion. After a very full and wonderful acting career I left that world behind to explore the bigger world as an expat, spending 4 years in Uganda and then many more years in Kenya. Amazing years in between in Rome and 2 amazing children that made me a mother along the way. My years in these places changed me deeply. As has my life on the small island I now call home, in a country (Canada) that I am now a part of.

Painting became my place to discover it all, uncover it all. Painting for me has brought me back to my early passion of character and emotion. Each of my portraits tells a story. Listen closely.
